About Melinda Moss
Melinda has been competing in agility since 2011 and is currently competing in UKI, USDAA, AKC, and AKC ISC (International Sweepstakes Courses) with 6 current Aussies. Her accomplishments include many podium and overall placements, including UKIUS Open, ISC Cups, as well as winning and/or placing in the Finals of several Regional and National events. Most recently, Mel and her homebred Aussie, Sparkle, were the top qualifying Aussie in the AKC Westminster Master Agility Championships 2025, finishing 5th overall as well as a 6th place finish overall in the Finals of UKI US Open 2025 out of over 300-16” dogs, with Sparkle being the only Aussie in the Top 20 Finalist dogs with handlers from across the USA and 5 different countries.
Mel is also an online Coach for Susan Garrett’s online learning program, Handling 360 Synergy and Agility Nation. She is known for a fluid running style with very fast Aussies, many verbal cues, and incredible distance from her dogs. Mel loves working with all types of handling teams. Her teaching techniques create drive, focus, and distance through shaping exercises, positive reinforcement, and games. With these techniques, Melinda creates a love of agility for both dog and handler. “I have a game for that!” is Mel’s approach to most any dog training.
